Free for research and teaching
Analysis Suite is free for academic research and for classroom use: the ground loop design, the thermal response test interpretation and the hydraulic network, with no tier and no limit.
Who qualifies, and how to get it
Who qualifies. Students, faculty and research staff at a recognised institution, for coursework, theses and published research.
How to get it. Write to support@gheanalysis.com from your institutional address and tell us what you are working on. That is the whole procedure. There is no form and no purchase order.
Free for coursework, theses and published research. A licence is still required for paid consulting or contract work, including when it is carried out within a university.
How to cite
If the software or its manual supported your work, please cite it. Two distinct works can be referenced, the software itself and its user guide, so choose the one that matches what you used, or cite both. Acknowledging this work sustains its continued development and the open sharing of the research behind it.
The identifiers below are concept DOIs: each always resolves to the latest deposited version, so a citation made today does not go stale. If you are reproducing a specific result, cite instead the DOI of the exact version you used, listed on the Zenodo record.

A DOI is being assigned for this module. In the meantime, cite the reference above and the underlying papers.
Citing the underlying methods. The models implemented here are documented in a series of peer-reviewed publications. When a specific method is central to your own work, g-function construction, borehole thermal resistance, spectral simulation, inclined boreholes, standing column wells, the short-term borehole response, or the hydraulic formulation, please also cite the corresponding paper. Each manual lists them in its References section.
Why it is free
Analysis Suite is developed at a spin-off of Polytechnique Montréal, and a share of its revenue already goes to the graduate students whose published research it implements. Charging their colleagues to reproduce that work would be an odd way to thank them.
And then
- Download it and start. Download Analysis Suite
- The manuals are open, and they carry the equations and the references. Documentation
